Teeth N Smiles taking measures to protect against COVID-19

At Teeth N Smiles, we are highly committed to protecting the health and safety of our team and our community, so we would like to give an update in relation to the recent COVID- 19, Corona Virus situation.

Did you know that Dental zones, including our dental clinics are cleaner and more "bug free" than just about any public area? Infact, visiting the dentist may be the safest place to be.

At Teeth N Smiles we are and have always been serious about keeping our school students and team safe from cross infection (other people's bugs).

We regularly attend lectures on sterilisation and have specific standards we adhere to.

These are just some of the things we do each day to ensure our patients safety and wellness:

Washing hands

One of the first things you may see a dentist do is to wash their hands. Keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Handwashing with soap removes germs from hands to help prevent infections because people frequently touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realising it.

All instruments utilised within our mobile dental services program are intensively sterilised and processed in an autoclave. An autoclave uses superheated steam to kill ALL bugs.

Surface disinfection

All surfaces that our patients, and team, come in contact with during and after treatment are either covered by single-use plastic or wiped down with disinfectant. This is carried out before and after every single patient.

Protecting you and us

The Teeth N Smiles dental team always wear gloves, masks, and protective eyewear for all patients at all times. Masks and gloves help to control the spread of infectious particles, and other unwanted germs that reside inside the human mouth.

Limiting exposure

We also treat one patient at a time in our Teeth N Smiles van. This enables us to completely control our environment.

Supporting the local economy

The government is very concerned about the potential negative effects of COVID 19 on business (unless of course you make or sell toilet paper). It's crucial we all do our bit to keep the economy moving, and go about our normal daily lives, so we help to keep local businesses going.
